Welcome to GW Nash & Son
It is our philosophy that listening to our clients interests and how they wish to occupy the spaces we create for them makes all the difference. This translates as an end product that suits them and one in which they can relax and enjoy for years to come. This concierge style of building has built our reputation.
To accomplish this requires years of experience and a keen ear. We began this company in 1980 and set out to build exactly what our people wanted without compromise. Our loyal customers believe we have.
Our custom cabinet shop, located in Old Saybrook, affords us the opportunity to build nearly anything that can be imagined. We design, using Mozaik kitchen design software or Solid Builder for structural projects, or build from your plans. Our 40 years of experience in new and restoration building gives our customers the confidence that their project is our focus. Call us with your project ideas and experience the difference. We work throughout the CT Shoreline including the towns of Madison, Guilford, Branford, Clinton, Westbrook, Old Saybrook as well as inland towns.

Project Writing Desk
Custom Furniture Project Greene and Greene inspired writing desk for the author and friend Matt P.I have software to draw this up but for me it’s instructive to hand sketch it because as I sketch I see the process of fabricating more tactilely. An overlooked aspect is the marking and sketching pencil.(sometimes it’s a marking knife). But I like the Blackwing 602.

Fully Licensed & Insured
One of our previous clients, who had us back to totally renovate the 1st floor which includes the living room, kitchen, dining area and downstairs bathroom. The front porch is also being renovated, as well as the 2nd floor bathroom. New hardwood floors throughout. Home had to be raised to current specs for waterfront properties which caused a delay in the project. Pictures of the process in the Project Gallery.
